Microsoft Innovation Center, Lahore, and Punjab IT Board together create startup opportunities to enable the startup’s ideas by incubating and tech help.
Microsoft Innovation Center is a unique incubator designed to promote innovation in startups. The main idea of Microsoft and the Punjab IT Board behind the program is to transform the high-potential software startups into successful businesses.
Under this program the Microsoft Innovation Center – Lahore is inviting applications from those startups who wish to be incubated at Microsoft. After the application process, 13 startups will be shortlisted. Out of these 13 shortlisted startups, the top 3 startups will be incubated at Microsoft Innovation Center – Lahore for 6 – month to 1 year period and the remaining 10 startups will be given business and technical training.
Startup companies with innovative ideas are encouraged to apply for the program regardless of their prior experience.
Below are the Microsoft Innovation Center and Punjab IT Board Startups Incubation Program’s eligibility criteria and benefits.
Microsoft Innovation Center, Lahore will finalize the entries for Evaluation after the pre-qualification criteria approved by the Steering committee.
Entry Level shortlisting will involve evaluation by two panels:
13 startups will be shortlisted on the judge’s scores and mentors feedback:
Top 3 startups will be selected for incubation, mentoring, Business plan, and product review.
And other 10 startups will go through the training phase only.
The top 3 startups will be incubated at Microsoft Innovation Center, Arfa Karim Technology Park, Lahore. All shortlisted teams will also have access to the following facilities.
All 13 shortlisted startups will receive invitations to enroll in the Microsoft BizSpark Program provided they meet the eligibility criteria. With Microsoft BizSpark Program, the startups will receive access to:
Latest Design & Development Tools
Production Licenses to host a “Software as a Service” Solution
Microsoft Developer Network (MSDN)
2 Technical Support Incidents
Online Startup Directory
Besides BizSpark, visibility will also be provided to startups through the following:

All 13 shortlisted startup companies will be provided with Technical and Business Training at the MIC Lahore incubator.
In 13 shortlisted startups, only Top 3 companies will get Office Space along with basic hardware, internet, and network.
All 13 shortlisted companies will have access to the Product Testing Lab at the MIC facility, which includes Windows Phone Devices, Multi-touch Devices, and Xbox 360 for the purpose of testing their apps/solutions.
Note: Top 3 teams will be informed of the complete offering of the program including Incubation, Mentoring Support, Training, and Reviews of Business Plans and Products. The other 10 out of 13 teams will be informed of their enrollment in the program by sending out complete program details to them including information about training topics, calendars, venues, and other program details.
